‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Another look at Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer
As we first wrote about yesterday, much of the cast of “Glee” got together for what is their annual photo shoot, though there were some questions as to where a few of the actors were. For those who missed it, Darren Criss was absent because of his touring commitments in Boston (he’ll probably be photo-shopped in after the fact), Samuel Larsen and Vanessa Lengies are recurring guest stars that may not return, four former McKiney High Students (played by Mark Salling, Heather Morris, Amber Riley, and Harry Shum Jr.) are no longer series regulars, and this photo seemed to be only about the kids, which is why Jane Lynch and Matthew Morrison did not turn up.
Like with the other photo, this one was posted by Lea Michele on Twitter, and it is basically the same image that we saw previously, with Rachel Berry (sporting another new look that feels somewhat more like the old version of the character) standing front and center doing her best Tifa Lockhart impression from “Final Fantasy 7” when it comes to the outfit. This cropped photo focuses mostly on the gang that has been there since the very beginning, though they’ve also allowed Chord Overstreet (who first joined the show in season 2) to slip in.
Our personal favorite part of this picture? How Chris Colfer’s facial expression is slightly different from everyone else, especially the guy standing next to him in Cory Monteith’s Finn.
So here’s the question that we have to ask as TV conspiracy theorists: Is this the group that “Glee” will be focusing on long-term, or is this just a nifty photo? We do assume that the likes of Melissa Benoist and Jacob Artist will not have nearly as much to do after the other characters graduate, given that there are only so many people that can be focused on in a given span of time.
If you do want to read even more news concerning the massive changes to the cast, just hit up the link here, which also should give you a good understanding about why Dianna Agron could be done for good.

In a perfect world….keep my absolute favorites. Cory..lea…Kurt…Santana..Tina and Artie. Not to be a bad person or anything but if the key players are wrote out especially Cory or Lea, then I will no longer be watching the show. That’s just the way it is. I like to live in that fantasy land that this program puts you in and without it, why watch? If they move it to college in New York City, then they need to put Cory in a college in or near New York City. Don’t let that love die…they must keep that going for the public. The public love that relationship and without it, I do believe that Glee will lose a large amount of viewers. Everybody loves a fairytale. Even if it’s a bumpy road getting there.
