‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 premiere spoilers: New characters, assemble!

Who wouldn’t want a role on “The Vampire Dairies” as a young actor? If you are looking at a place to really carve your teeth and gain an audience, there’s no better way: The fans are loyal, will cry for you if you leave, and you get the chance to travel all over the world to various conventions. We like to think that all of this makes up for the fact that you’ll have to hit the gym relentless to match the bodies of some of the actors currently a part of the cast. (We’re looking at you, Stephen R. McQueen’s new abs.)

Luckily for some actors out there, the new season is getting ready to introduce some new blood (possibly in a literal sense, given what could happen to them) into the mix. With that, we present a pair of casting notices that were sent out recently by the powers that be.

1. Nadia – What a surprise, a character on The CW that is described as “beautiful.” Anyhow, she is also described as someone who is extremely emotional, and has been on a mission of “vengeance” that has taken her all around the globe. Her age is set as “early 20s.”

2. Jesse – This is not exactly as interesting a backstory. All we can say is that he’s an upperclassman at college, which is further confirmation that the show really is going for that collegiate setting this time around.

There’s one other advantage that we forgot to mention earlier as an actor on “The Vampire Diaries”: The opportunity to literally travel anywhere and everywhere you want. Just look at Nina Dobrev, putting that salary to good use in visiting three continents within the span of mere days. Impressive, no? Commence jealousy.
