CBS confirms ‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 2, ‘Under the Dome’ Comic-Con panels
For CBS Studios this year, they are going to have some sort of a presence at Comic-Con in San Diego. While this is not the same sort of convention behemoth as Warner Bros. (mostly because they do not have as many genre shows), we still think that some fans are going to be more than happy with the selections that CBS made for the biggest convention of the entire year.
In addition to checking out the names and the dates of the shows attending the panel this year, we’ve also got the official cast lists as of this writing. We throw that little caveat in there since there can be changes down the road depending on filming schedule and / or getting mobbed by a swarm of fans prior to the panel actually starting. (We’re looking at you, Josh Holloway!)
Thursday, July 18
“Intelligence” – The wording here is somewhat interesting, but given that Holloway is the star of the show and it’s a new one, expect to see him there along with Meghan Ory (Red Riding Hood!) and former “CSI” star Marg Lehgenberger. Executive producers Michael Seitzman, René Echevarria, and Tripp Vinson. There will also be a screening of the pilot episode.
“Beauty and the Beast“ – Love this CW fan favorite? Then you’ll be happy to know that both Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan are confirmed to be attending the show’s season 2 panel, along with executive producers Jennifer Levin and Sherri Cooper.
“Star-Crossed” – It’s the alien love story! This is right now the sort of new show that we totally pick on before it airs, but watch it come on and we end up loving it. Even as a kid, we remember ruthlessly mocking a show that had what we thought had the dumbest premise ever, and saying that it would never do well. That show was “SpongeBob SquarePants.” This is a pretty big panel, including Matt Lanter, Aimee Teegarden, Grey Damon, and also executive producers Adele Lim, Meredith Averill, Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec, and Scott Rosenberg.
Sunday, July 21
“Under the Dome” – Here’s the panel that a number of people will be looking forward to seeing. Dean Norris will be there (though he is already attending for “Breaking Bad”), along with Mike Vogel and Rachelle Lefevre. Executive producers Brian K. Vaughan and Neal Baer will also be on hand.
