‘The Bachelor’: Sean Lowe endorses Jef Holm, fellow Emily Maynard alum
Even though there are still a number of episodes left on Desiree Hartsock’s season of “The Bachelorette,” it’s never too early to start making predictions when it comes to the next “Bachelor,” right? This is something that ABC themselves have to be thinking about already, and given the pretty-poor ratings that the show is getting for a season absent when it comes to buzz, we don’t see it as particularly likely that they will take someone from this group, even if the leading lady picks no one.
Instead, what we imagine to be a little more likely is that a more-popular choice from the past could come back. So what about Jef Holm? Although things didn’t work out between he and Emily Maynard, he, like Emily, could get a new kick at the can. He definitely has the support of his fellow former contestant (and ex-“Bachelor”) Sean Lowe, who posted the following on his Twitter account:
“Does anyone else think @jefholm should be the next bachelor? Just a thought.”
There is some interesting food for thought in here in that Jef is currently single, he knows the show well, and despite the breakup with Emily, he still seems to be pretty well-respected.
As for some other contenders from the past, we’re sure that Ali Fedotowsky’s ex Roberto Martinez could be considered if he’s single, given that he was pretty popular at the time and was attached to all sorts of rumors about being the “Bachelor” until Sean was chosen. Outside of these two, the problem ABC runs into is that we don’t quite know who else they could pick. Even if someone this season like Brooks Forester, Chris Siegfried, or Drew Kenney sets themselves up well on the show, we don’t know if they have the built-in following that they would need.
Do you think that Jef should be the next “Bachelor”? If you want to read our full review of Monday’s “The Bachelorette” episode, you can do so over here.
