‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ review: To 100 episodes more?

Real HousewivesWell … that was different?

After watching Monday night’s 100th episode celebration for “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” there may be two very separate ways in which you feel. On one side of the coin, this was an episode that was relatively stripped of present-day drama, and not really within the timeline of the rest of the show. Therefore, things like Tamra Barney’s wedding planning were put at a hold in order to focus on some other matters.

We liked the somewhat different approach, meanwhile, what you had here was a nice example of one of the more interesting episodes of the show that we have seen over the years. Why? Mostly because it was a look through the years. It is rare to get a look behind the curtain at the real side of reality TV, mostly because they are often so very transfixed on the notion of trying to paint reality to see their needs. We found it particularly fascinating to see the originals of the show, where it came from so many years ago, and also where it could be going in the future.

For longtime fans, it was also a welcome homecoming. Who in the world thought that Jo was going to be making a return appearance, or Jeanna, or some of the other members of the cast from many years ago? In the center of all of these past cast members, we had the woman who stands through it all undying in Vicki Gunvalson, the noble soldier of the franchise and all the drama it implies. What is particularly interesting is seeing how much this show has changed her. Go back and watch the first season of the show, and then compare it to where she is today.

Did you find this 100th episode particularly engaging? If you want to see one article looking back on the past 100 episodes of the show, you can do so over at the link here.
