‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ review: Teresa Giudice vs. Joe Gorga, rinse and repeat
There’s no way to get around just how repetitive the main event of Sunday night’s “Real Housewives of New Jersey” actually was: What Teresa did is basically the equivalent of going to a casino with a sign in front saying “you will lose,” and then putting a million dollars on black. You knew the moment that she decided to go up to Joe Gorga and act as though there is nothing wrong at the gym that it would turn into a problem … and it did. Joe said that she was the cause of the rift that has severed the family, which is even more of a problem with their father so ill. Then, the screaming began.
Basically this was just like every other Teresa meltdown, so there’s really no point of going into detail outside of the shriek, which could make some species of birds die. We can’t even really take sides in this anymore, since the real advice we have is just for them to deal with all of their problems off-camera for a change.
Were there some other highlights this week? Sure. Melissa Gorga talked about her book on having a great marriage (which Teresa subtly mocked), Caroline spoke out about her sons working too hard, and Rosie ended up joining Teresa with an outburst of her own. Pretty much everyone outside of the Giudice / Gorga clan has something interesting going on, and we’re really just tired of their fight. It’s gone on for too long, and we just don’t really care anymore. Sorry to disappoint, folks, but we’d rather watch Caroline and her kids for an hour making macaroni art.
