‘The Bachelorette’ rankings: Zak Waddell, Juan Pablo Galavis swap places
We cannot sit here and say that when it comes to our “Bachelorette” rankings, this has been a particular eventful week. It’s pretty obvious at this point that Ben Scott’s goose is cooked, and that some of the other guys not on this list have either had awkward dates or are invisible at this point in the competition. Just to make things even more obvious, the favorite has been in the top position for weeks. And you wonder why the show’s ratings are down?
We base these rankings primarily on how Desiree Hartsock is acting around the men, and also the amount of screen time and the edit they receive. While the leads have picked villains to win before, it’s not a regular occurrence.
5. Drew Kenney (last week: 5) – We debated taking him off the list over James Case, but while Desiree may not know that the guys are starting to turn on James, she does know that he cheated on a college girlfriend. Drew may not be getting much alone time, he is becoming a bit of Catherine Giudici-like sleeper.
4. Juan Pablo Galavis (3) – Des still clearly finds him uber-attractive in the same way that most viewers at home do, but we are still not getting a sign from her that she really thinks that there is something else there underneath the surface. He needs something more soon, since otherwise he’s fodder with good abs until his inevitable exit before hometown dates.
3. Zak Waddell (4) – Following his group-date rose, it’s a spot up for Zak, who continues to rise to the occasion despite being all about the abs the first week. We’re starting to feel more and more like he is a major contender, even without a one-on-one date at his disposal.
2. Chris Siegfried (2) – In some ways, Chris is in the same boat as Zak in that he has made a great impression despite not really having that much alone time with Desiree and this is helped by many of the guys having bad one-on-one dates with her. He does have one coming up, so that will be a real test.
1. Brooks Forester (1) – Here we go again with the boring #1 pick. We just can’t help it! Some of the guys even seem convinced at this point that Brooks is going to be the one, even when he’s not getting group date roses. We haven’t had a single reason to doubt him pretty much since the second week of the show.
