‘Veep’ season 2 finale spoilers: Selina kisses someone, then freaks out (video)

Sunday night marks the end of the spectacular second season of “Veep,” so why not have Selina Meyer go out with a victory? Oh, if only it was as easy as that for her.

While the promo below for the finale has Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ character overjoyed, even to the point that she kisses Gary on the mouth, we don’t expect it to stay that way, mostly because the vast majority of Selina victories last for about five minutes. Plus, there is the potential for so many things to go wrong here. With the President possibly facing an impeachment hearing, it would only take a few choice words for her to be thrown under the bus, and he would surely do so in order to salvage his own career.

On a more personal level, Gary’s crisis involving his girlfriend is going to hit fever pitch, almost to the point where he is forced to choose between his job working for Selina, or his new and very bizarre relationship. We don’t know how this would even be a hard choice for him. While he may love his significant other to a certain degree, the man loves his job. We can’t see Gary doing anything else other than awkwardly uttering key points of discussion into his boss’ ear.
