‘Breaking Bad’ season 5: Aaron Paul talks series finale screening

Breaking BadJust in case you wanted to be 100% certain, the “Breaking Bad” series finale will in fact air on Sunday September 29. This is what we long speculated to be happening, given that it is a full eight weeks after the premiere. The only real question was whether or not there was going to be a week off for Labor Day Weekend, since TV watching may not be nearly as much in demand.

Now that we’ve gotten that information out of the way, let’s go now to confirmation that there is going to be an elaborate viewing party of both the first and last episode of the show at a famous institution. Just check out what Aaron Paul wrote recently on his Twitter page:

“On September 29th the first and the very last episode of BB will air inside of the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. I will be there. Will you?”

For those of you who are utterly perplexed by the idea of a show holding any sort of event in the cemetery, these grounds have been used for a number of screenings in the past, and this is hardly something new that is being instituted now. What will be interesting about this screening in particular is the opportunity that it will provide as a bookend to both the start and end of the show. What better way to see how far Walter White really has fallen than to see the video before and after?

What do you think about the idea of “Breaking Bad” ending things in a cemetery … at least when it comes to this celebration of the show? Do you feel the series is foreshadowing what will be Walter White’s end? If you want to check out what Bryan Cranston recently had to say in a Reddit AMA about the show’s ending, all you have to do is click here.
