‘American Idol’: Kree Harrison, Janelle Arthur, and Grand Ole Opry love
If you are a country singer, there really is nowhere else that you would rather be than the Grand Ole Opry. It is one of the greatest institutions out there in Nashville, and the first performance that you have a chance to do there is something that you will remember for the rest of your life.
It was literally just a matter of weeks ago that Kree Harrison got a chance to perform there following her time on “American Idol,” where she also performed with one of the judges from her season in Keith Urban. The Opry is famous for keeping away unauthorized video content, but they have just released the official video for the duo’s performance of “Help Me Make It Through the Night.” Check it out below, and if you are a Kree fan, this is almost surely something that will plaster a big smile across your face.
Meanwhile, Kree also came back to the Opry this week in order to celebrate the first performance of one of her fellow former “American Idol” contestants in Janelle Arthur. The fifth-place finisher from this season, before being surprised by Kree, performed a Hank Williams cover (a song that had a very deep connection to her family), and also a worship track. (If you want to hear audio of the performance, head on over to Mjsbigblog.)
Are you glad that an institution like this is being so kind to “American Idol” stars, especially five years removed from Carrie Underwood becoming a member? If you want to also see some more “American Idol” news about someone officially not joining the judges’ panel in the new year, you can do so over at the link here!
