‘The X Factor’ USA / UK notes: Fifth Harmony, Carly Rose Sonenclar, One Direction
Remember when we talked about the new video series that Fifth Harmony is putting out there all about “The Dream?” We have the first real edition of it now. If you simply take a look below, you can see the first chapter entitled “The Dream Begins,” which gives you a better sense of the optimism that the ladies from “The X Factor” USA have over their new music, and also their gratitude at simply getting the opportunity to live out some of their childhood fantasies.
One of the biggest things worth mentioning in the video from a news perspective is hearing about the girls implementing many of their own musical tastes and ideas into their album, which is great news for any of you out there who thought that the group would just become churned out through a label factory, and lose most of their identity in the process.
Fifth Harmony’s new single, “Miss Movin’ On,” is now out in the world. Be sure to check it out!
One Direction’s new video – We wrote yesterday about some silly antics that the boys got themselves into while shooting “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” while on the road, but it was also revealed during the ABC late-night show the first teaser from their upcoming documentary / concert film. To us, the best thing that we find about this is that the guys have an inspirational story, but they also choose to implement so much humor into it, as well. If Fifth Harmony ever gets a movie like this, we hope that the same sort of spirit is present in it.
Carly’s studio work – Finally, we thought we’d share a brief update from Carly Rose Sonenclar’s Twitter that she is still hard at work on some mystery projects in the studio. While she is hesitant to share any major details as of this time, she did work on Friday with the likes of Shane Stevens and a few members of the group The_Elev3n. Oh, and in case you forgot, she also has that big concert coming up in her home state of New York on June 29.
