‘The X Factor’ USA: Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell hit up New York for season 3 auditions
Now that Simon Cowell’s duties on “Britain’s Got Talent” are very much in the past, the music mogul can focus on some other pressing matters … including getting his other show in “The X Factor” USA off of the ground. The show has been hard at work on season 3 at various audition stops around the country, and on Thursday the group was hanging around Long Island in New York in order to see what sort of talent was present throughout the region.
As for the fashion on the judges’ panel this time, blue seemed to be a major theme for both Paulina Rubio and Demi Lovato. Meanwhile, Kelly Rowland went with a sleek red number, and Simon Cowell chose to dress in the same exact way that he always does: With a boring shirt that’s way too tight for him and jeans. (You know that it’s a big deal if he decides to wear a tie.)
What we are insanely curious about right is just what sort of talent these auditions are bringing this year. With the ratings for “American Idol” down and with the show becoming more about drama this past year, it’s possible that some teenagers are seeing the support for Emblem3 and Fifth Harmony online, and deciding to try out for this show instead. In some ways, it’s almost preferable at this point to be placed into a group, given that these two are finding more success right now than any other act that has come out of the show.
The most notable contestant to have auditioned for sure this season is Panda Ross, who came back after being eliminated at bootcamp last year and after losing a substantial amount of weight.
