NBC’s ‘The Voice’ finale spoilers: What Michelle Chamuel, Danielle Bradbery will sing

The VoiceBefore we turn to “The Voice” finale tonight, we have one final order of business: Determining what songs will be performed by our remaining contestants.

For this last stage in the competition, there are going to be three separate groups that will perform over the course of the two hours. First, we are going to have a song that is picked by the contestants from their run on the show, and this will be followed up with something that is completely new. Finally, the contestants will also do a duet with their coach. Now that Adam Levine and Shakira are somewhat unbiased, we do wonder if they are going to throw their hat in the ring of one of the other singers, or if they will keep their distance. Danielle Bradbery – Danielle’s reprisal is “Maybe It Was Memphis” from the first live show (a solid choice, but we would have picked “Heads Carolina, Tails California”), and she will also do Sara Evans’ “Born To Fly.” As for the duet, she and Blake Shelton will take on “Timber, I’m Falling In Love” by Patti Loveless. It’s a smart, albeit safe collection of songs.

Michelle Chamuel – Michelle picked the right song to do again in “I Knew You Were Trouble,” given that it was top ten on iTunes the first time. Doing “Why” by Annie Lennox is risky for a new song given most viewers are not going to know it, and her final performance with Usher is “One.” This is easily the riskiest group of songs, and it could either help her win or lose depending on how they are received.

The Swon Brothers – We really don’t like the brothers doing “Danny’s Song” given that they just performed it, but we’re thrilled to see them doing more of the Eagles in “I Can’t Tell You Why.” Finally, the duet of “Celebrity” by Brad Paisley is super-current, and country fans should lap it up.

Who do you think has the best songs picked out for the finale? If you want to read Carson Daly’s take on the remaining contestants, you can do so over at the link here.
