‘True Blood’ season 6, episode 2 preview: ‘The Sun,’ Stephen Moyer, and new rules
What is coming up on the remainder of “True Blood” season 6? In some ways, it is going to be par for a very bloody course: There are villains, violence, “romance,” and people dramatically throwing off their clothes. The only difference this time is that we’re finally starting to near the long-awaited war between humans and vampires that has really been building up through out the entire series.
The first person to really watch out for moving forward here is Arliss Howard’s Governor Burrell, who is quite different than any other Big Bad sort of character that HBO has put before us to date. He’s someone who is not only extremely charismatic, but has something that very few others have: An extreme amount of power, and the resources to do something with it. On his own, he’s not a physical force, and he’s not even supernatural, but by the end of the season he could cause more damage than anyone.
Oh, and there are a few other things to also watch out for here.
1. If you thought that Warlow was really done for based on what we saw with Jason Stackhouse, think again. The man is back, and he is going to be causing carnage in Sookie’s life.
2. Sam Merlotte is going to find a new ally … but could this one also be a love interest?
3. Vampires are not the only supernatural creature in danger anymore.
4. Sookie is going to have a new reason to fall for someone, and it’s not going to be like anyone that she has been with previously.
5. Stephen Moyer’s Bill is going to play by a new set of rules.
