‘The Good Wife’ season 5 spoilers: Love interest for Kalinda, other roles being cast
If you’re desperate to see “The Good Wife” take yet another leap away from that nails-on-a-chalkboard storyline with Kalinda and Nick last season (one that we still feel hurts the show’s Emmy odds), then you will probably breathe a sigh of relief at what we have to share now. There are three new recurring roles for the show currently being cast for the fifth season.
When it comes to the Kalinda love interest, here’s everything that we can tell you right now. The character’s name is Holly, an Assistant State’s Attorney that happens to have some sort of history with Archie Panjabi’s character. Not much else is known about this character right now, but we’ll keep close watch on this one.
Also, be on the lookout for someone who is joining Cary and Alicia at their new firm. Their ironic and unofficial name right now is “Carey,” but you have to believe that this will change in the finished product, since the last thing any TV series wants is multiple people with the same name. (That almost instantly equals confusion for the audience.)
Finally, we have an ethics brigade coming on board the show named Marilyn, and she will work within the administration for newly-elected Governor Florrick. There is some major irony in this subject, given that ethics and Peter do not always go hand in hand. If his personal life didn’t give it away, perhaps what happened when it came to the election will. There’s going to be some murky water surrounding this throughout the months to come.
Do you have any casting suggestions for these roles? (We’re personally down to see Anna Torv get a new role after “Fringe” ended.) If you want to read some more news in relation to “The Good Wife,” our suggestion is to head on over to the link here.
