‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 notes: Ian Somerhalder hacked; Joseph Morgan’ new gig

Ian SomerhalderWell, you can now officially add Ian Somerhalder to the list of celebrities who have fallen victim to a Twitter hack, and we’re talking about the real one versus the one that people use as an excuse for when they say something that hurts somebody else’s feelings. The situation is under control, but for a few hours late last night / early this morning, there were some problems that he had to deal with. (Heck, at one point “Vampire Diaries” executive producer Julie Plec had to come out and make it clear that something happened to his Twitter.)

Unfortunately, this is just something that stars like Somerhalder have to occasionally deal with as a symptom of being famous, or in his case, being famous and also trying to use his Twitter account for a particular purpose in helping the environment / inspiring others. We hope Twitter does eventually figure out a way to keep this from happening, but it’s a much easier-said-than-done kind of scenario.

In other news….

Joseph Morgan’s new gig – He already has “The Originals,” and now the man otherwise known as Klaus has landed a new film role. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Morgan has been booked alongside “Justified’s” Walton Goggins to appear in “Dermaphoria,” a movie about a brilliant chemist (Morgan) who has to piece together his past after waking up in jail. Ross Clarke wrote the script for the film, and is also directing.

This movie is shooting in New Orleans, which is a place that Joseph came to know rather well during his time shooting “The Originals” pilot. For those curious about production schedules, don’t worry: He’ll be able to jump right over to the spin-off to start work immediately after this project is completed.
