‘Burn Notice’ season 7, episode 2 preview: Jeffrey Donovan talks 100th episode

Burn NoticeIt’s interesting that “Burn Notice” is managing to have two important landmark episodes this season. Not only is there going to be the series finale coming up in the months ahead, but you will also have the opportunity to see the show air what is its landmark 100th episode on Thursday night. This is an hour that is extremely important to the show on many fronts in that it not only finally brings Michael Westen back into contact with some members of his former team, but it also gives us some flashback moments to the early days of Michael’s relationship with Fiona. For those of you who have been long curious as to what the former couple’s backstory was, this is your opportunity to check it out.

So what does Jeffrey Donovan have to say about taking on this episode? Speaking in an interview with TV Guide, the actor explains why the decision was made for him to direct this episode, and a little bit about what make shim so attached to it:

“I actually wanted to do the [Season 7] premiere … Then [creator] Matt Nix and the studio thought it would be a better idea for me to do the 100th episode because it was all about Michael and Fiona’s flashback to their past. They thought I might be more attuned to how the dynamic between Mike and Fi would be.”

Donovan also said that he still has no idea whether or not his character is going to actually end up with Fiona, though we know that this is what every fan of the show out there wants to see. Our guess? That it will happen, mostly because fans could end up revolting if it doesn’t.
