‘Big Brother 15’ spoilers: Julie Chen on ‘no-floater summer,’ ‘The Talk’ preview show

Big BrotherOn Wednesday afternoon, “Big Brother” host Julie Chen held a live chat on Twitter to answer any and all questions about both this show and “The Talk,” and as a result, we actually got a few new pieces of information about the upcoming season.

Let’s start first of all with something that always makes us far more excited for this show then many other reality programs: The CBS daytime show’s annual visit to the house, where we watch the ladies from “The Talk” all humiliate themselves to win Head of Household, only to try and stab each other in the back with an eviction. Chen confirmed that the special for this year has already been filmed, and will air the same day as the premiere on June 26. The “eviction” will happen live on the show, which is a little counter-intuitive since everyone is already gone from the house. Oh well.

What is perhaps most interesting about the upcoming season is this tease from Julie: “The twist makes it a no-floater summer!” We don’t quite know what this means, but we’re interested already. The only thing that would have us worried is that they make the entire show based around competitions, which are only a part of the equation since what we really love about this show is the strategy and social gaming. Maybe there’s a Redemption Island-like element introduced, or there are divisions that make it harder for houseguests to hide like the cliques during season 11. While the show has introduced some dodgy twists before (the saboteur, the duos in season 13), we’re still holding out hope that this will be a good one. It all really depends on the houseguests, and also whether or not they are genuinely interested in playing the game or floating their way to the money.
