‘The X Factor’ UK notes: Union J sales; new video with Gary Barlow, Sharon Osbourne
While “The X Factor” may not get everything right, there are three things that we love already about the upcoming season of the UK show: The return of the audition rooms, seeing Sharon Osbourne yet again as a judge, and of course having the opportunity to actually have something of substance prior to the season premiering this fall.
With that, we come to the new video below released by the show’s official YouTube channel. The audition rooms have already begun, and this clip shows off just what Gary Barlow, Sharon, Nicole Scherzinger, and Louis Walsh think about them. For Gary and Nicole, this marks a change in what they have done the past few years. It probably benefits Gary somewhat to have this format, but also hurts Nicole, since she feeds so much off of the live audience when it comes to having her sort of crazy charisma during her critiques.
Enjoy this video below; we certainly do, and we’re hopeful that it means there is another great season ahead.
We also don’t want to leave this article without giving some sort of update as to the state of the latest “X Factor” UK act to release a single. In their first week of sales, Union J debuted at #6 on the charts with their new hit “Carry You.” That’s not a bad start, especially considering that promotion has not been off the charts as of late.
This song is the first major hit from this past season of the show, as James Arthur is still working on some original music to show off later this year.
