‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5: Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley highlights from Germany

As we posted on Saturday, the gang from “The Vampire Diaries” are definitely world travelers, especially when it comes to spending some time with their fans. Earlier this weekend, Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, David Anders, Mark Pellegrino, and many other celebrities all made an appearance at the latest Bloody Con event in Germany, which had a pretty large attendance of diehard fans.

Sadly, there is not as much video footage of the event online, save for a few slanted-sideways clips that we’ve posted below. So instead of relying on just that, why not share a few of the highlights based on what we’re seeing online?

-Paul did a panel with his wife / co-star Torrey DeVitto, which was reportedly one of the more hilarious events of the entire convention. At one point, Paul proclaimed that his true love was Daniel Gillies, and that he told Torrey that he was playing Silas months ago, only for her to forget about it the very next day.

-David made a brief appearance during Ian’s panel, pretending to play a nervous fan asking a question. This, of course, was met with great applause.

-As always, all of the actors were reportedly very gracious to their fans, and we haven’t heard of too many incidents of someone being left in the cold. This always happens from time to time, mostly because it’s impossible for someone in their position to make every fan out there happy.
