‘The X Factor’ USA / UK notes: Fifth Harmony, Diamond White, Lyric 145, One Direction

Are you ready to see a massive heap of stories related to “The X Factor”? We’ve got quite a bit to talk about here, and we’ll start things off with what will surely have people the most excited: Some more hype towards Fifth Harmony’s “big announcement” on Friday afternoon.

Through their social-media accounts, the girl group has unleashed a pretty extensive campaign all around three words: “The Dream Begins.” What is this supposed to mean? Hasn’t the dream already started? The choice of words is very specific, and we imagine that it must be tied in some way to the reveal of their new single. We don’t know for 100% certain if there will be an opportunity for us to hear it, however we will at least learn the title of the single, and the release date to go along with it.

Other new music – While it’s not a completely original song per se, Lyric 145 has continued to stay together following their time on the show, and their new collaboration, a remix of “Scream & Shout” featuring fellow former contestant Diamond White, proves yet again just how much talent this group has that never was shown off during the competition.

One Direction’s perfume – Finally, we turn to a certain famous group from the UK version of the show in One Direction. The boys have released a brand-new fragrance, and it carries with it a pretty interesting title of “One Moment.” We don’t really get how a group of five guys are trying to tell a young woman how to smell, but it’s easy to figure out why they want to put something like this out: There is so much money in it! Justin Bieber also has a fragrance for ladies, so this is hardly something new.
