‘The X Factor’ USA: Watch Emblem3’s ‘Chloe (You’re the One I Want)’ video here!
May is turning out to be the month of Emblem3. We reported recently that the group became the first “X Factor” USA artist since Chris Rene to chart a track in the top 40 since “Chloe (You’re the One I Want),” and now we have the official music video to go along with it.
The video is not one that is particularly easy to interpret, as the story basically revolves around members of the band trying to encourage girls who are feeling insecure for whatever reason that they are “a Chloe,” and someone that is desired, appreciated, and so on. The song it self is in many ways similar to One Direction’s “Little Things” when it comes to the message, but has a much more uptempo, rock-pop sound that reminds us a lot of Hot Chelle Rae and Sugar Ray mixed together into a ray of sunshine. (Yes, we’re sure you see what we did there.)
Will this video actually boost the single sales and airplay even further? It’s likely, mostly since this tends to traditionally be the case. What could help the group out the most is their upcoming performance on “Good Morning America’s” summer concert series along with an “X Factor” UK sensation in Little Mix (who has been trying to push their single “Wings”). The group’s publicity thus far has been mostly for smaller performances and word of mouth, which could change as we enter the summer months.
Overall, what is your take on the “Chloe” video, and do you think that this is going to end up becoming the summer radio hit that Simon Cowell and Syco are probably hoping for? If you want to read about another “X Factor” USA group in Fifth Harmony, be sure to check out the story here.
