‘Glee’ season 5 notes: Lea Michele, Jacob Artist’s new headlines
Is it just us, or is the “Glee” world even quieter than usual around this time of year? Maybe this is coming as a result of some of the buzz surrounding the Fox series starting to die down a little bit, or maybe the cast members themselves have grown more accustomed to fame, and are now trying to retake some of their vacation time and leave work behind them.
Even with us stuck in a low-key week, Lea Michele was spotted out last night at the screening party for 20th Century Fox Television Distribution, which could be a company that helps to syndicate “Glee” down the road thanks to Ryan Murphy’s studio within 20th Century Fox TV. Lea’s boyfriend Cory Monteith was not spotted in attendance, and he has largely chose to stay under the radar ever since leaving a treatment center earlier this month.
In other news – While we’re not here to talk about any red-carpet appearances that Jacob Artist is doing at the moment, we do have a small change when it comes to the actor behind Jake Puckerman’s standing within the industry. According to Deadline, Artist has joined Monteith, Jayma Mays, Naya Rivera, and his onscreen love interest Melissa Benoist at the United Talent Agency.
For those who are wondering what this means when it comes the actor’s actual day-to-day career, not much other than hopefully more opportunities for him. It does not change his job status at “Glee” in any way, and should be back for more singing, dancing, and kissing Marley next year.
In case these “Glee” updates today are not enough for you, did you hear that Michele is also releasing a new book? Be sure to check out the story here, and as always we welcome all of your thoughts / comments!
