‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6 spoilers: If you thought it was violent before…
Sometimes, you really do not need to say very much at all to leave a big impressions, and “Sons of Anarchy” creator Kurt Sutter certainly did that with a “holy [insert your favorite curse word here]” moment during a Twitter Q&A session on Tuesday night.
While most of his answers to fans are typically either vulgar or hilarious (and would you really have it any other way?), he did give a straight answer to a question about what to expect for season 6, saying that it will be “hands down, the most violent season to date.” Just let that idea start to marinate in your brain for a few minutes, and remember the brutal death of Opie last season, some of the shootings, or what happened to Sutter’s own character of Otto in the finale. Pretty horrible stuff, right? Well, it looks like we’re going to head even deeper down the rabbit hole … or at least starring into the barrel of someone’s gun.
The idea of season 6 as the most violent yet should not really come as much of a surprise when you do consider the position that Jax now has himself in. He’s firmly positioned at the head of the table, but also descending into his own version of hell under the weight of it. Tara is in prison, Lee Toric is on the prowl, and the other clubs out there are not going to suddenly wake up and decide to leave SAMCRO alone. We don’t really think we’re speculating too much here when we say that heads are (at least figuratively) going to roll at some point.
There’s no premiere date yet for “Sons of Anarchy” to return, but we personally imagine it would be either September 10 or 17. FX could change it up, so stay tuned.
If you want to hear what Sutter had to say recently about a possible “Sons of Anarchy” companion piece (and you should, since it’s kind of a big deal), just check out the story over here.
