‘American Idol’: Angie Miller suggests record deal coming soon
As a reward for winning “American Idol,” you always get some sort of an opportunity to land a record deal. The same typically also goes for the runners-up, though not all of them come remotely close to a Adam Lambert / Clay Aiken level of success.
However, finishing in third place on this show over the years has proven time and time again to not exactly be the best thing in the world. Look at all of the seasons in a comprehensively manner: Kimberly Locke is probably the 3rd-place finisher with the most commercial success over the years, and while we’ve personally loved a ton of people in this position (see Melinda Doolittle, Haley Reinhart, or Joshua Ledet), there has not exactly been a Chris Daughtry or a Jennifer Hudson that has come out of this place.
So could Angie Miller try to shake it up? She’ll definitely try. The singer gave an interview earlier today to a local Fox affiliate in Boston, and in it she strongly suggested that there will be a record deal coming her way soon. With the way the show works, what is probably happening right now is that Interscope is debating whether or not to sign her, and then if they opt not to, she will go out to other markets.
In the long run, we see Angie being someone who tries to fashion herself into an artist like Paramore or Lifehouse, mostly in that she wants to reach secular audiences while promoting a Christian message somewhere along the way. She could, however, go a route of Relient K, Stacie Orrico (at least in her early years) or Switchfoot, and become a Christian artist who is able to stretch out somewhat into other markets.
What do you think about Angie’s prospects for a big career down the road? If you want to read some more news pertaining to this season, you can do so over at the link here.

Rose, come up with something more original than throwing Mike’s words back at him. Seriously you want to compare Adam to Clay? Adam performed in front of hundreds of thousands with Queen and as a solo artist in China. Adam performs in front of thousands in Finland, South Africa, Tokyo etc. Has Clay even left North America? Don’t even start me on looks. Adam is drop dead gorgeous and very honest about his sexuality right from the start. Clay “didn’t know he was gay” for about 5 years after Idol before coming out. Seriously……………..No I am not gay, and I don’t think there is anything wrong with being gay, but I certainly can recognize a good looking guy when I see one. Clay, not so much…………….

Angie Miller is a huge talent, in my opinion the most talented of all 12 contestants this season on Idol. She already had a huge fan base before she even auditioned for American Idol on her You Tube channel which has over 3 million views of her videos she posted before Idol. I believe she will have a record deal any day now and I would not doubt if she becomes the most successful person from Idol since Carrie Underwood graced the stage in 2005. Angie is the total package, Incredible voice, can play the piano beautifully, writes songs, has a great personality, stage presence. She is absolutely brilliant how she covers other artists songs and changes them and makes that 10 times better then the original in my opinion. Angie Miller will be one of the biggest superstars to ever be on American Idol.

If she is promoting a “Christian message”, then I will not buy her music. That smacks of elitism. I would think she would want to ‘keep more doors open’. She is too good to limit herself like that.
