‘Veep’ season 2, episode 6 preview: First look at ‘Andrew’
While we didn’t have much of an opportunity to write about this past episode of “Veep,” we have to say that Selina Meyer’s visit to Helsinki made for one of the best episodes in the history of the series. There was pandemonium, more constant roasting of how ignorant Americans are, and a spy scandal that could take down the entire organization … maybe.
You see, the bizarre thing about “Veep” is that despite having quite possibly the worst administration of any Vice-President in history, Selina somehow manages to get it all together. But will it be able to work it out this time? It’s a very good question. Sunday night’s installment is entitled “Andrew,” and it looks to be a little bit more family-centric. How much so? Let’s just say that we are finally going to meet the man that our veep was once married to.
Check out the full synopsis from this episode below:
“Catherine’s (Sarah Sutherland) 21st birthday bash. Meanwhile, Amy (Anna Chlumsky) and Gary fret over how Selina will handle seeing her ex-husband Andrew (David Pasquesi) at the party; Mike fields press inquiries on Selina’s role in the Uzbek hostage crisis.”
We wonder whether or not Selina would be in this same position had she not told the press in Finland that she stands with the President on the hostage issue, but at the same time, would she have really said anything at all were it not for the groping incident that she was involved with? That is in some ways the beauty and despair of this show: One way or another, many things are linked.
