ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 2 finale spoilers: Kerry Washington and the cast speak out

At ABC’s upfront presentation in New York City on Tuesday, the network made it almost their assassin-like mission to tell everyone just how amazing “Scandal” is. At the moment, they have a point: Guillermo Diaz has to be in Emmy contention, the ratings have surged up to “Grey’s Anatomy” levels, and the show has managed to do all of this in a time-slot of Thursdays at 10:00 p.m. Eastern, which before the season every analyst out there was giving these kinds of numbers to CBS and “Elementary.” The show is still in some ways an underdog, too, thanks to this, and it only adds to its ultimate appeal.

So what’s the season 2 finale about? We wanted to ask that question matter-of-factly and almost humorously, because there’s really no way that we nor anyone else is going to be able to tell you for now. the show is just under such a tight lock and key, and despite the cast revealing to “Good Morning America” (which you can see in the video below) that they have seen the episode already, they would not spill a single detail.

Perhaps to us, the best part of the entire clip is just watching to see how great of a poker face some of these actors really have. It has to be near-impossible at times to keep things a secret, especially when you are having to answer Twitter questions that basically amount to someone online trying to bait you into revealing something.
