‘American Idol’ finale spoilers: What’s next for Candice Glover, Kree Harrison
It is not very often that we have some sort of opportunity to actually have the final 2 on a singing competition be the actual final 2 that we are hoping to be there. As a matter of fact, there are only three or four times on “American Idol” through the years that it has happened.
As much as we could sit here and complain about how frustrating we have found the judges, the theme weeks, and the aggressive promotion of two singers who did not end up in the final two anyway, the truth is that we’re thrilled about a Candice Glover/Kree Harrison showdown. These two ladies have been the best of the best all season long, and easily have been so consistent that we can’t sit here and openly mock a single thing that they did. They also seem to have the right mindset of taking this competition seriously, but realizing that there is still a future ahead for them that this experience is preparing them for. Therefore, it’s best to only show off a positive side of yourself.
So what will these two be singing? If it somehow includes anything from Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey, we will rip Nigel Lythgoe a new one. We figure that there will only be one “new song” on performance night, which will be picked by show creator Simon Fuller (as is the recent tradition). Meanwhile, the two will likely reprise a performance from earlier this season (which we believing will be “Crying” vs. “Love Song”), and there will be a coronation single. We just hope that there is a smaller discrepancy this time between one song and the other. (We love Jessica Sanchez, but that “Change Nothing” song should have been thrown away and taken to the nearest city dump.)
We’ll be back over the weekend in an effort to try and figure out where these two singers stand in our latest contestant rankings. For now, be sure to join us as we rally against all of the things that “American Idol” has done terribly wrong this season.

I am so happy that people are becoming more focussed on Kree and Candice. This week is about them and should be. I am thrilled that writers are recognizing that the two for finale are the ones who should be there. I think it would be nice if people began to respect them alittle more than some of the posts I have read. Talking down someone else does not sit right with me. Someone trying to gain all the attention when it is not about them is rude and inconsiderate. Just saying:D
