‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 finale spoilers: ‘Graduation’ promo sealed with a kiss

What a bizarre, twisted season of “The Vampire Diaries” this has been. We don’t know about you, but isn’t it time to see some of these people move on with their lives? Luckily, “Graduation” looks to provide us with this very opportunity to get away from the repetitive setting that is high school. (Granted, it is not like like we’ve seen very much of it lately, anyway.)

So what will we see unfold next? Considering that Bonnie is wearing a cap and gown in the photo attached here, she’s either back to life, or just trying to find a way to live out one of her dreams before going back into the veil. (Seems perfect for a ghost story, no?) Thanks to her failure to complete the spell last night, the dead are not only still roaming around Mystic Falls like very intelligent zombies, but they have a purpose. Kol is out to be as awful as possible, a certain ex of Rebekah’s wants revenge, and there will be a few more opportunities to say goodbye to some beloved characters.

On the romance front, who’s ready for a Matt / Rebekah kiss? It may not be the smooch you were expecting to see, but it’s here nonetheless! We’ve been a fan of the couple for over a year now before Claire Holt’s character went completely insane on Wickery Bridge, and it is nice to see her finally get back into some sort of place where something like this can happen.

Sadly, the caveat for Matt is that this is not ending well. Rebekah will be headed over to “The Originals”, and he is likely going to be left again alone and wondering why in the world he always gets left behind. Someone give the guy a hug already.
