‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 finale spoilers: A ‘Perfect Storm,’ panic in first promo

Brace yourselves, people who become emotionally invested in TV characters, because your heart, which may be just starting to heal from last May’s “Grey’s Anatomy” catastrophe, is about to be ripped out of your chest again.

At the end of Thursday night’s “Readiness Is All,” the only dramatic “moment” came when a tree blew in front of Alex and Jo. Let’s be real for a second: How many of you thought that one of those two was suddenly going to drop dead from a heart attack a result? If it happened, we definitely wouldn’t be shocked given that the show has already done worse. (The flood that is being caused in the finale may consist of the tears of Lexie fans worldwide.)

With the storyline hush-hush to almost super-spy levels, the only things that we can reveal, in addition to the first promo below, are the following:

1. Ellen Pompeo’s Meredith has her work cut out for her trying to give birth to a baby during a rainstorm, just like she has her work cut out for her every other minute of her life. Even when she did become a millionaire, it took her almost dying to do so!

2. Alex and Jo aren’t going to leave their relationship at the “why did you help me?” level. He’s not getting out of this season without admitting something. We’re not saying that he will confess to feelings, but there has to be a cliffhanger.

3. Callie and Arizona fans should start forming their prayer circle now. The only good news that we have is that Rhimes doesn’t even seem to know yet what is going to happen with the idea of Arizona cheating.

Considering that season 10 in the fall could conceivably be the end of the show, we recommend cherishing every minute. This could be the last finale that leaves you emotionally devastated, since Rhimes proved with the end of “Private Practice” that she does prefer some sort of happy ending when it comes to composing series finales.
