‘Arrow’ season 1 finale spoilers: Oliver Queen’s showdown is here
While it has not been entirely clear at times what Oliver’s endgame was going to be on “Arrow” throughout the season, the show did give us enough hints in the midst of battles with other villains that this was coming: The last showdown between the Hood and the Dark Archer. This has been a part of a plan to cleanse a certain neighborhood in Starling City (in The Glades) since pretty much the pilot, when we first learned that Oliver’s dear old mother was not exactly everything that she was cracked up to be.
There is going to be quite a bit going on in this episode (entitled “Sacrifice”), and much of it is going to revolve around events that we have seen a buildup for all season. Not only that, but some things from this past episode, whether it be Felicity being ID’d or Oliver and Laurel finally hooking up, are going to come back to bite characters in a big way. Check out the full synopsis courtesy of The CW below:
“Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Diggle (David Ramsey) race to stop the Dark Archer (John Barrowman) from unleashing his vengeance on The Glades. However, they run into a roadblock after Detective Lance (Paul Blackthorne) picks up Felicity for questioning. Tommy (Colin Donnell) and Oliver’s already tumultuous relationship takes a turn for the worse after Oliver makes a confession about Laurel (Katie Cassidy). After hearing of the danger in The Glades, Thea (Willa Holland) races to find Roy (Colton Haynes), inadvertently putting herself directly in the line of fire for Malcolm’s (John Barrowman) devious plan. On the island, Oliver, Slade (Manu Bennett) and Shado (guest star Celina Jade) are locked in a life-or-death struggle against Fyers (guest star Sebastian Dunn) as his missiles lock on a full Ferris Air jetliner.”
