‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 finale spoilers: Romance, death, and much more

When it comes to the upcoming season 4 finale of “The Vampire Diaries,” it is really becoming clear that the producers really did not hold back on anything. You may laugh, you may cry, and more than anything else, you will certainly be surprised by at least a few things that transpire over the course of the hour.

Here are just a few simple things to get you excited for a week from Thursday. According to TV Guide, the following things will all occur before “Graduation” comes to an end: Two people going off to spend the summer together, characters declaring their love for each other, a shocking death, a character making a shocking and quite possibly terrible choice, and of course some sort of resolution when it comes to the vampire cure that has become the center of everything all season long.

So who could be on the chopping block next? The three you can probably write off as a possibility are seen in the picture above, mostly because Elena, Stefan, and Damon are all too popular to touch. We feel the same way about Caroline, and the Originals are all heading to their spin-off show. We guess that Bonnie could be in the cross-hairs, but it feels a little bit obvious since she is rumored to die almost every season.

The only thing that we can say to surely expect is some sort of closure on the Originals being in Mystic Falls, since Joseph Morgan and company are not going to have the sort of time to go back and forth.
