‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4, episode 22 preview: Nina Dobrev plays paranoid

In just one week, a certain Elena Gilbert on “The Vampire Diaries” is going to finally have an opportunity to celebrate her graduation from high school, however, it does not look at the moment as though she is in much of a mood at all to celebrate.

In the sneak peek below from Thursday night’s “The Walking Dead,” Nina Dobrev’s character is stuck doing what she feels to be “busy work”, which is getting invitations in the mail for the upcoming ceremony for the big event at Mystic Falls. The problem with her invite, however, is that it takes her all of about a few seconds to get everything together. Unlike Caroline, she does not have a bevy of invites to send out. Instead, she merely just has one to those relatives in Colorado that Jeremy stayed with at some point last season.

With that short-lived task in mind, Elena quickly changes gears to focus on something a little bit different: Whether or not Katherine is out there waiting for her, and if Caroline will help her find her. While she may have her humanity back, she is still desperate for revenge against the woman who is responsible for her brother’s death. Caroline insists that she does not know where she is, but judging from what we have heard Dobrev say in recent interviews promoting the finale, we have a feeling that she will be found, and the fighting that ensues will be pretty intense.
