NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results: Did Karina Iglesias, Vedo, and Cathia survive first cut?
Let’s go through some of these results coach by coach, that way we can properly break all of this down.
Team Usher – We will start things off what may be the most predictable result out of anyone, being that almost everyone suspected that Cathia would leave first. Usher didn’t pick her to be on his team until the battle rounds, and despite Josiah Hawley being in the bottom two, there aren’t a ton of guys this season to get that voting demographic. Meanwhile, Vedo and Michelle Chamuel each managed to be safe without a problem.
Team Shakira – This was probably the one result of the night that really angered us. Karina was a killer singer, and we honestly don’t know why voters didn’t connect with her. Was she too punk-rock? While Shakira has a contender with Sasha Allen, we don’t see Kris Thomas or Garrett Gardner (who she chose to save) as major threats to win the season.
Team Adam Levine – This was in our mind the strongest team, mostly because ever single one of Adam’s ladies is an extremely strong contender to go far here. Caroline Glaser was good, and we think her cover of “The A-Team” would have lasted on another team. Just not this one. Adam saved Sarah Simmons over her, while Amber Carrington and Judith Hill were both safe.
Team Blake Shelton – Finally, we end with a predictable note. While we were surprised that both Holly Tucker and Danielle Bradbery were saved over the Swon Brothers and Justin Rivers. Justin didn’t have a ton of screen time, so it was not a shock to see him go.
