‘Arrow’ episode 22 review: The finale just became complicated
We knew that “Arrow” was saving the best for last this season, but who in the world imagined that this episode would have packed such an emotional punch? There were a number of big events within here that will carry into the finale, and we have to begin with the news that yet another person has managed to figure out who Oliver Queen really is.
On this occasion, the person who learned of the secret identity (to use the old cliche) is none other than the villain that we could call Malcolm or the Dark archer (take your pick). In learning the truth about who Oliver really is, there is little doubt that this creates a pretty terrible situation for the character moving forward. Unless he finds a way to snap out of the man’s grasp and take him down, every single person he loves is at risk.
Speaking of people that Oliver loves, it looks as though he and Laurel finally are back together. Are we happy about this? To an extent sure, since it was obvious that this is where the show was going for almost the entire season. However, we also have to admit that there was a pretty great Felicity moment during this episode, and we’re still not tired of rooting for these two as our favorite possible couple, more because their chemistry comes from an honest place. As soon as Laurel learns the truth about Oliver’s alter ego, you know that there will be some obvious conflict about it.
Oh, and to make matters even more interesting, Tommy now knows about Oliver’s new lady friend. This cannot end well, can it?
What did you think about this episode, and how much trouble do you think that Oliver is going to be in now? If you want to read even more news when it comes to this episode, you can do so over here.
