‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9, episode 23 preview: Alex is the law

Upon hearing some pretty devastating news from Jo on Thursday night’s “Grey’s Anatomy” season 9 episode, there were two different ways in which Alex could have taken it. Either he could try and let the police deal with the situation, or take matters into his own hands.

For whatever reason, Alex fancies himself the medical version of Oliver Queen from “Arrow,” and seems to be taking it upon himself to go and take people down who fail to treat the woman that he loves correctly. Do we know for sure that he is going to find Jo’s boyfriend in the sneak peek clip below? No, but the writing on the wall still appears to be there. After all, Jo proclaimed that she was hit by the man, and if there is one thing Alex cannot take, it is someone doing something to a person that he really cares about.

Even though his actions are a little bit drastic, and we never want to see something like this happen to anyone (real or fictional), this story may finally be what puts Justin Chambers and Camilla Luddington’s characters together. While it may not be the best time to admit to feelings while she is in such a vulnerable state, the door will at least start to crack open now for the two to have some sort of serious conversation when it comes to the state of their relationship later, including whether or not they could make it as a couple in the long run.
