‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8 finale spoilers: What’s next for Ted, Barney, and Robin

Is the “How I Met Your Mother” wedding of the century almost here? We don’t quite know the answer to that just yet. While Monday night’s season finale, entitled “Something New,” is going to bring us much closer to that big day than we have ever been before, the jury’s still out on whether or not we will actually make it all of the way to seeing Barney and Robin end up walking down the aisle.

There are a few quick details that we can release already about the episode based on the first promo below. For one, we are going to have a chance to actually see what happened with that weird moment involving Ted and Robin last week. It’s pretty obvious here that there are feelings from Ted’s perspective; however, the main thing to emphasize here is that this is a one-sided sentiment.

The good news for Barney / Robin fans? They still seem to be very much happy together, meaning that nothing probably happened on the Ted / Robin front. There isn’t too much else available right now about the episode, save for the fact that our bride and groom-to-be will be spending quite a bit of time fighting with another couple (played by Keegan Michael-Key and Casey Wilson) while at a restaurant.

So are we going to meet the Mother in this episode? That is still unclear, but you can at least expect there to be some sort of moment that unfolds here to help elaborate on the mystery.
