‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Desiree Hartsock explains what she’s looking for

In just three weeks’ time, Desiree Hartsock is going to be back on TV with what will hopefully be an exciting and candid search for love on “The Bachelorette,” but is she going to be ready to meet the right guy? While it is pretty impossible to know the exact answer to such a question before a season even airs, it does at least appear as though her heart is very much in the right place.

Speaking as a part of an interview with People Magazine in promotion of the show, Desiree (who has still yet to actually make it to the final portion of filming for this season) had the following to say about just what she wants from a guy on the show:

“I like someone who’s spontaneous and adventurous and enjoys every aspect of life. And not to get too serious, but someone who could be my best friend and be a support system, someone who I can see as the father of my kids … My parents have been together 40 years and married for 35. My dad has her back no matter what, and she’s so affectionate to him. They act like they are 16.”

So basically, Desiree’s story almost in many ways mirrors perfectly just what we saw with a certain someone else in Sean Lowe. He described his parents in almost the same identical way, but we know already just how that managed to turn out. However sad that she was then, though, Des may be feeling pretty exciting now about the prospects of finding someone that she can really spend the rest of her life with, and doing it in a way that allows viewers to follow her along her journey.
