‘Suits’ season 3: A few new details on [spoiler’s] dad

Earlier this week, we shared some “Suits” season 3 scoop that should be rather welcome to anyone that loves the shrewd, smart character of Harvey Specter. We are going to be meeting his dad, Gordon, very soon, albeit in a flashback to ten years ago.

Now, we at least have a few more assorted pieces of scoop to share about the character. According to a brand-new report from E! News, Gordon is going to be comparable to Jeff Bridges, which we are assuming means that he will be familiar with the world of “Tron.” (Kidding!) Instead, this character is going to have the same sort of warmth and kindness about him that many imagine that the actor shares.

What will be a little bit more interesting at this point is seeing how this impacted Harvey during some of his earlier years, because no one becomes the authoritative man that he is overnight. These things take time, and he surely went through the wringer thanks to his career in law to be where he was at around the time of the pilot.

As we’ve said time and time again, “Suits” is gearing up for its July 16 premiere in Toronto, where the show is filmed. There are already at least two episodes that are pretty close to complete, and this leaves eight more to air during this summer, and six that will kick off in the early portion of 2014 (similar to what we saw earlier this year).
