‘Game of Thrones’ season 3: Words from Jojen Reed
“Game of Thrones” season 3 has brought us one of the most exciting stories yet this year, and they have also brought along with that a plethora of new faces from the George R.R. Martin books. One of those said faces is Jojen Reed, who is working at the moment alongside his sister Meera, Bran Stark, and Hodor in a storyline that has been featured intermittently on the series so far.
What makes Jojen stand out somewhat as a character is that he is a little more strategic than the average person in Westeros, and he also happens to be someone that thinks often before he leaps. This is something that was pointed out by actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster, who had the following to say about playing the part in an “Access Hollywood” interview:
“When I first found out I was a little bit disappointed that I don’t get to do any sword fighting or bows and arrows or anything like that (laughs), but in some ways it’s kind of cool, that [although] I’m [the] male character, my sister carries all the weapons and does all that side of things. In a show that’s full of a lot of blood, a lot of violence, a lot of sword wielding and a lot of death, my character is actually equally as strong, but much more spiritual and in control through his mind. It’s a much more interesting path.”
While there may not be much in the way on Jojen shown off on the series to this point, it is pretty fair to say at this point that some of the best stuff is still to come.
