‘The Vampire Diaries’ finale spoilers: The shirtless Ian Somerhalder photo you demand

Let’s face it: While everyone wants to see the high school setting go the way of the dodo on “The Vampire Diaries” this season, there are probably a good many people out there equally excited to just ogle a photo of Ian Somerhalder without a shirt on. Thanks to that, we like to do our part here to oblige the fans.

The photo attached here is from May 16’s “Graduation” episode, and what is missing here is some sort of context as to why Damon Salvatore doesn’t have a shirt on. Is he holding a towel, and is this another one of those token gratuitous post-shower shots? It’s certainly possible, though Damon also looks a little bit dizzy in the photo, almost as though he has no idea really where he is or what he is doing.

As for Elena (Nina Dobrev), we sure wish her face was a little bit less blurry. Her image in the background here seems to read something along the lines of “Really? What are you doing?”, especially courtesy of the unsatisfied arm cross that she is pulling off. It also seems based on the dress like she is getting ready for some sort of official and fancy occasion.

Oh, and for some of you who are more interested in graduation, here is a photo of some of the characters celebrating that big day, as well. Even though there’s no question that Elena, Caroline (Candice Accola), or Bonnie (Kat Graham) have quite a bit going on, they are still finding a way to attend their graduation with a smile on their faces.
