‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: Owen’s story continues…

What has been largely interesting about Owen’s plot as of late on “Grey’s anatomy” season 9 is that he really seems to be involved in a story that is largely independent of everyone else within the hospital. His story with Ethan really does not involve any of the other doctors directly, and there at times moments that feel more like he is using this to try and find something within himself, rather than trying to deal with anyone else.

The reality here is that Owen has always wanted children, and this has long been a sticking point in his relationship with Cristina. While he may have let some of those feelings die down while he kick-started his relationship with her yet again, the presence of this child is causing them to reawaken.

The second-to-last episode of the season is entitled “Readiness Is All,” and the photo above showcases Owen once again trying to serve as Ethan’s guardian angel as he brings the child to his father, who is the only one of his parents still alive as of this writing. It’s still not clear whether or not his dad is going to make it out of his current state, but the fact that he is still alive at the time of this episode (which airs a week from Thursday) still presents us with a tiny bit of hope.

As for whether or not Owen and Cristina are still together by the time this episode airs, that is still to be seen. After all, we hear the having kids issue is really going to heat up on Thursday night.
