‘Game of Thrones’ season 3, episode 5 preview: What to expect in ‘Kissed By Fire’
After many journalists were given some of the earlier episodes of “Game of Thrones” season 3 to review prior to the show starting back up on HBO, we are now entering the time that you could really refer to as “a well-guarded secret.” Only a select few have seen Sunday night’s new episode “Kissed by Fire,” which means that it is a little more difficult to even find out the tiniest bit of scoop about it.
However, we’re going to do our best here to let you know some of what we are going to see here. For one, we can confirm that we will see the group from King’s Landing, Danaerys, Jon Snow, Robb and Arya Stark, and Jaime Lannister and Brienne in the hour. This means that the Theon Greyjoy story along with Bran Stark may end up being left in the dust.
For more, check out the official synopsis from HBO:
“The Hound (Rory McCann) is judged by the gods; Jaime is judged by men. Jon proves himself; Robb (Richard Madden) is betrayed. Tyrion learns the cost of weddings.”
Back when this synopsis was first released, there were many questions about its meaning, and we are pleased to report that there is at least some answers now to go along with it. The men Jaime is judged by are the members of House Bolton, who really hold his fate firmly in their hands now following the removal of his hand. Meanwhile, Tyrion learning the “cost of weddings” comes from his new role in the royal family as keeper of the treasury, and he may now understand why the books were in complete disarray at the time in which he took over.
While we have yet to hear anything about there being a shocker at the end of this episode on the same level as what we saw with Dany this past week, you can never be too certain. However, there will at least be one surprising kiss.
