‘Royal Pains’ season 5 spoilers: A predicted leap forward

When you have a show in “Royal Pains” that really makes its bread and butter on it being summer in the Hamptons, it is pretty hard to be particularly surprised when the writers and producers decided to take a big leap forward for the show in order for it to be set within a certain time of the year.

With that in mind, we present to you some of the most predictable news of the year. According to TVLine, the upcoming fifth season of the USA hit will kick things off five months after the events in Evan and Paige’s winter wedding, which is significant for a number of reasons.

1. First and foremost, it’s the busy season in the area again, which means that HankMed will have a plethora of clients to take on, especially with their expanded practice and Dr. Sacani on board (who will be around all season long).

2. This gives Hank the time to recover from whatever sort of trauma that he received as a result of the blast in season 4. It was clearly impacting him at the time of the wedding, but who knows how big of a role it will play so many months down the road?

3. It gives us an opportunity to see whether or not Divya and Rafa really are built to last, or if there is a hope there for Dr. Sacani to sweep in and be Romeo to her Juliet.
