‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8 finale spoilers: Ted’s world starts to come together
It has been a long time coming, but it is starting to look as though Ted Mosby is genuinely going to get his life together in time for the “How I Met Your Mother” season 8 finale airing in just a matter of weeks or at least when it comes to having a place together that we have seen time and time again on the show.
According to TV Guide, we are actually going to see the renovations of Ted’s home in the suburbs come to some sort of completion, which is great news when it comes to his desire to have a place where he and his future wife can settle down and prepare to have a family. What may be a little bit of a surprise to go along with this is one of the reasons why he finally decides to take his new home seriously. There are still going to be unresolved feelings for Robin after all this time, but seeing her and Barney get closer to becoming a married couple really makes him realize that it is time to focus more on himself than what is impossible.
In the end, the whole “Ted loves Robin” storyline is probably one of the most-frustrating part of this entire series for many people, though at the same time it is probably the most realistic. People do not just get over their exes overnight, and while they may not want to admit it, there is often some sort of doubt or hesitation in their head when they have an opportunity to see them move on with somebody else.
Do you think that Ted getting his home together is finally a sign that he will really start to move on with his life? While we don’t have any video footage of the finale just yet, you can watch a promo for Monday night’s new episode “The Bro Mitzvah” over at the link here.
