‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 finale spoilers: Storm’s a-brewin’
We’ve seen a plane crash on a “Grey’s Anatomy” season finale, and also a shooting. Compared to these two events, some nasty weather should feel pretty run-of-the-mill, right? Wrong.
We’re hearing that the ABC drama plans to close off season 9 with a deluge, both metaphorically and physically. A massive storm is going to be heading in the direction of the Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital, which means that everyone involved is going to be forced into thinking on their feet in order to shift and adapt to their surroundings. Meredith’s going to be very pregnant around this time, which means that this could be much more difficult for her than other people.
Of course, we’re sure that the question that everyone really wants answered right now is whether or not Shonda Rhimes has any plans to kill anyone off this year. For the time being, we haven’t heard anything about it, but you cannot take that as gospel. We would be surprised, though, given that there is only so many times that you can use death without it becoming over-the-top or just an excuse to exploit your story. Regardless of if someone loses their life or not, we still expect this to be one heck of a dramatic finale that really finds a way to tie up the story of our characters long enough to be satisfying, while dangling a rather big carrot for season 10.
The “Grey’s Anatomy” finale airs on Thursday, May 16, which is going to be a rather busy day. “American Idol,” “The Big Bang Theory,” and “Scandal” are three other popular series also planning to end around this time.
