‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: Finale scoop on Emma … and Maleficent?
It’s rather sad to think that we are just three episodes away from “Once Upon a Time” being over for the season, and when you consider that the final two are being aired back-to-back, this means that we only have two more weekends of going to Storybrooke until the fall.
Luckily, there is at least some more good scoop bubbling up to the surface when it comes to some of our favorite characters, whether it be heroes or villains. One thing that will surprise you? During Sunday night’s new episode “The Evil Queen,” there will at least be some reference to Maleficent. While showrunners Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz did not necessarily say in a new interview with D23 that Kristin Bauer van Straten would be stopping by for a guest spot (which would be quite a surprise, given that we have not heard anything about this at all), it does seem at least that either her dragon form or her name will at least be mentioned in the proceedings.
Meanwhile, the two also promised that there would be some sort of “game-changer” for Emma and Regina that happens during the episode, also teased some of the relationship between Neal and Captain Hook that is going to play an integral role in the last two episodes of the season:
“Baelfire/Neal and Hook have a connection that we’ve already hinted at, and that’s something that’s explored in the final two hours of the season. And that may involve a second star to the right.”
The door is definitely open for a visit to Neverland on season 3 of the show, but there is still no word on who will be traveling there, and what this would could mean to the overall story. Do you want to watch a preview for “The Evil Queen”? If the answer is “yes,” you should find quite a bit to your liking over at the link here.

The finale two are not airing back to back. I think you’ve mistaken it for Revenge.
