‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4, episode 20 preview: Joseph Morgan’s hunt
How are “The Originals” going to behave without some other familiar faces around? This is something that we are hopefully going to find out an answer to during Thursday night’s new episode of “The Vampire Diaries” season 4. This backdoor pilot, in case you’ve been daggered and locked in a coffin for the past few months, is going to feature Klaus’ return to the city of New Orleans, and some of the ramifications that come along with that.
As the video below clearly shows, the motivation for Klaus to come back is really rather simple: There are witches conspiring against him, and he wants to do everything in his power in order to take them out. This means apparently being extremely paranoid and standing around on balconies. Elijah has paid him a visit, and he does bring some welcome news. He knows what is really going on in the city, and he wants to help Klaus find out more about it.
Whatever happens in this city it is clearly going to be enough to make Klaus want to come back permanently and while we know that Joseph Morgan is still going to be featured in some of the episodes after this, there will surely be something set up during the season 4 finale that facilitates him leaving the small town for good. At the moment, it appears like a near lock that “The Originals” will be picked up as a series in the fall, and the only real question that remains is whether or not The CW will choose to make the announcement before or after the episode airs. The only things that we could see putting a stop to these plans are low ratings for the episode, or a very negative reception from fans.
