‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2, episode 20 preview: Captain Hook’s new role is…
At the tail end of Sunday night’s “Once Upon a Time” season 2 episode, we had a visit from an old adversary in Captain Hook, whose arrival now means very bad things for some of the people of Storybrooke. Not only does he have a grudge against Rumpelstiltskin and a desire to take him down, but it’s not like many of the other residents of the town have been particularly kind to him. No one has really offered him support or a voice, and with Cora gone he may have a couple of other people to turn to: Regina, or Tamara. Both are villainous, and they have have some sort of plan.
When it comes to the former, we can only assume that her plot now has something to do with the discovery of the bean plants at the end of this past episode. Her goal is obviously to cause misery to Mary Margaret and everyone on her side, but at the same time she still has to find her way to protect her blind spot in Henry.
As for Tamara, her goals are a little bit more ambiguous, but she has a pretty ominous promise to be able to destroy some fairytale creatures without any sort of magic or special powers. This may certainly appeal to Hook superficially, but we feel as though he may also need to ask himself one question: What happens once Rumple is dead? Will she go after him next? Tamara’s goals do not seem limited to just one person, and helping her could be a detriment to him in the long run.
