‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: Lea Michele talks end of shooting, ‘excited’ for season 5

If you’ve been checking out this site, then you are probably well aware at this point that Naya Rivera has confirmed the presence of one Santana Lopez on the upcoming fifth season of “Glee.” While the following may very well be a given, you can also depend on Lea Michele as another continued presence in the cast.

In a new post on Twitter Friday afternoon, the actress used the following message to help proclaim that the end of season 4 filming was here, and now the cast has an opportunity to move on to some other more-than-exciting things for the summer:

“That’s a wrap on Glee season 4! It’s been such an amazing year! Thank u so much to our amazing crew & of course @MrRPMurphy & @BFalchuk :) … And thank you to all our amazing Gleeks who watched this season… I’m already excited for next year!!! :)”

Of course, you had to expect that Rachel would be back. Like with so many other members of the cast, the actress is still under contract up to the end of the sixth season … which is conveniently when the show was renewed until. This does not necessarily mean that this will be the point in which “Glee” comes to an end, but we suspect that Ryan Murphy and company will need some sort of rating increase or moneymaking scheme somewhere else if they want to find a way to make a season 7 happen.

Rachel has quite a bit coming up before we see the end of “Glee” for the spring: She still has to prepare for her “Funny Girl” callback, and also figure out where she stands back at NYADA. Her love life, however, may be somewhat on hold given that Cory Monteith was unavailable for the last two episodes of the season due to his stay in rehab.
